Why +1 Unit on a Win (The Algebra)

You stake the same amount on two dozens.
If one dozen hits, it pays 2:1. That means you get back three times that dozen’s stake, but you lose the other dozen’s stake.
The result is you end that winning spin ahead by the size of one dozen bet. Because the stakes were tripled after every loss, that single win clears the past losses and leaves the series at +1 unit.
